Exposed from the middle of 1979 to both imaginable and unimaginable forms of communist political, police, neighbours', petit-bourgeois', sycophants' . . . torture, out of which are the most éclat Melika's two imprisonments into Sarajevo, Slavonska Pozega and Focha penitentiaries, as well as home raids, strip-searches, beatings up, taking to the informative police interviews . . . , not only her, but her teenager son Amir as well, this

they see only as a most cynical mockery of the human sufferings. It means for them not but a continuation, not only of the 1983's, the years of Melika's arrests, takings her to the court, and five years imprisonment, but also of the war-time 1992's, the years signifying the end of the existence of their home on that address, in that number, and in that frame.
